Ficus Rubber

Ficus elastica, the rubber fig, rubber bush, rubber tree, rubber plant, or Indian rubber bush, Indian rubber tree, or rambung is a species of flowering plant in the family Moraceae, native to eastern parts of South and Southeast Asia.

Light

• Place the plant in a spot with bright, indirect sunlight.
• Avoid intense, direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
• You can rotate the plant weekly to ensure even growth.

Water

"• Water only when the top 1-2 inches of soil have dried out.
• Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom, then discard any excess water.
• Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot and leaf drop. "

Soil & Fertilizer

• Use a well-draining potting mix to prevent waterlogging.
• Fertilize once a month during the spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength.

Humidity & Temperature

• Maintain humidity levels between 40% and 60%.
• You can mist the leaves occasionally to increase humidity.
• Keep the plant in a room with temperatures between 60−85°𝐹(15−30°𝐶). Avoid cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.

Other Care Tips

• Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth regularly to remove dust.
• Prune any leggy growth to maintain a desired shape.
• Repot every two to three years or when the plant becomes root-bound.
• Note that the milky sap is mildly toxic, so keep it away from pets
